The aid agency ESTHER (Ensemble pour une Solidarité Thérapeutique Hospitalière en Réseau) contributes to the implementation of aid development policy in the health sector. Its aim is to reinforce capabilities for fighting HIV/AIDS and associated infections in developing countries. In seven years, 2002 to 2008, ESTHER set up operations in 18 countries. The collaboration of 53 French hospitals has made it possible to develop twinning with partners in the South.
ESTHER (Ensemble pour une Solidarité Thérapeutique Hospitalière En Réseau) contribue à l’implémentation de la politique de développement des aides dans le secteur de la santé. A pour objectif le renforcement des capacités pour lutter contre le VIH et les infections qui y sont liées dans les pays en voie de développement. En 7 ans, de 2002 à 2008, ESTHER a mis en place des opérations dans 18 pays. La collaboration de 53 hôpitaux français a permis le jumelage avec des partenaires dans le Sud.

We can end HIV soon if people have equal access to HIV drugs as treatment and as PrEP, and have free choice over whether to take them.

Launched today, the Community Consensus Statement is a basic set of principles aimed at making sure that happens.
